Wiley College signs trio of Porter players Cowboys to inaugurate new soccer program
BROWNSVILLE, 12 June. - A trio of Brownsville Porter players signed with Wiley College last week and will be part of the inaugural men’s soccer program at that school this fall under the instruction of head coach Demetrio Hernández.

Porter coaches honored during RGVSCO All-Star Game Lead Cowboys to third State Tournament in history
WESLACO, 10 May. - The Brownsville Porter Cowboys had an incredible run during the 2011 boys high school soccer season that took them to the State Tournament for the second time in five years and third since 1984. Although the Cowboys didn’t advance to the championship match, the Rio Grande Valley Soccer Coaches Organization honored the Porter coaching staff for their efforts at last week’s Fourth Annual All-Star Senior Showcase.

BROWNSVILLE, 4 May. - For the past four years, the Rio Grande Valley Soccer Coaches Organization (RGVSCO) has slowly grown, giving out small scholarships to promising student-athlete soccer players as well as awarding local referees, coaches and journalists during its annual All-Star Senior Showcase. This year will be no different when the organization gives a special award in honor of José Eduardo Hernández for his many years of service as a referee in Valley soccer.
