McALLEN, 20 Nov. - The Lady Rattlers hoisted the South Texas Premier Soccer Association’s 18-and-Under Girls Fall League championship title after completing the season undefeated.
With a 9-0-0 record and 27 points, the Lady Rattlers concluded the fall season eight points ahead of their closest rival, the Lady Cougars (6-1-2, 19 points), who were the league’s runner up.
The Lady Rattlers scored a league-high 58 goals in nine matches and gave up only two for a +56 goal differential.
Of the Rattlers’ 58 goals, league-leading goal-scorer Daniela Cantú tallied 16 to claim the goal-scoring championship. Cantú was followed by fellow Lady Rattlers Lizette Niño (9) and Kassy De la Garza (8) in the overall goal-scoring standings.
