McALLEN, 10 Feb. - The Rio Grande Valley Soccer Coaches Organization released their "Top 10" rankings for the Valley and regional high school Class 5A and 4A boys and girls soccer teams this week.

Sharyland, Valley View, La Joya Juárez-Lincoln and a trio of Brownsville schools were among the highly favored teams for the 2012 boys and girls 5A and 4A district seasons.

In the RGVSCO’s Valley "Top 10" Picks, Sharyland captured the top ranking in the 5A boys and girls categories, while Valley View was the top pick in the boys 4A and Juárez-Lincoln nabbed the girls category of the class.

In the "Top 10" Regional selections, Sharyland was rated at the top of the boys 5A category and San Antonio Brandeis was rated tops for the girls.

Valley View was ranked as the top 4A boys squad in Region IV, while Pflugerville Hendrickson was the top team in the girls category.
